**Job Title**:Benefit Assessment Officer

**Job Reference**:TCN/Academy

Venn Group is working closely with multiple Local Authorities across the country who are looking for a number of Benefit Assessment Officer’s with strong Benefit Assessment experience using the Academy System.

**Duties**:

- Be responsible for the assessment of all Housing Benefit and Council Tax Reduction claims
- Be responsible for all tenure types including local authority, private LHA, housing association, hostels and boarders
- Assess complex claims including students, self-employed, private landlords, private tenants and persons from abroad
- Handle all submissions and reconsiderations
- Process new claims, change of circumstances and change of address
- Deal with ATLAS cases
- Handle any overpayments / excess payments
- Liaise with internal and external parties
- Systems used**:Academy**

The successful applicant will need to have experience working with Academy in a Local Authority.

**Hourly Rate**:Negotiable
