**About the role**:
We're hiring for a Commercial Claims Team Leader to join our Bolton office to drive the great outcomes we're achieving in our Commercial Claims unit. Our Commercial Claims unit is responsible for managing all claims relating to Commercial Property, Casualty, Motor Engineering and Commercial Motor. We've focused our efforts in creating a strong culture with clear strategies and a focus on personal development. So, you'll have experience in helping people to shape the right curiosity, passion and integrity needed for a collaborative, successful, career.

At AXA we work smart, empowering our people to balance their time between home and the office in a way that works best for them, their team and our customers. You'll work at least 40% of your week away from home, at one of our office locations, visiting clients or attending industry events.
**What you'll be doing**:
- Leading your team of varying skills level Claims Handlers, who are responsible for handling a portfolio of claims. Moving swiftly and to a high-quality standard.
- Ongoing capability and development are key to the success of this team, so your natural leadership and role modelling ongoing development will bring some great results.
- Responsible for projects, correct procedures, process and regularity adherence as they all form part of the role and you will use this to identify any opportunities for improvement incorporating data driven decisions to bolster any and all improvements.
- Working with some great people across Claims and with external agencies you'll build strong relationships, using your relationship management abilities will be key to the success of the unit.
**About you**:
**What we’re looking for**:
- Understanding of Insurance Claims is preferred especially within casualty, commercial property, motor or engineering.
- Awareness of current UK trends associated with Insurance and the wider market impacts.
- Leadership experience of a team is essential. Spans of control sit between 12-15 employees, so a similar level of experience would be advantageous.
- An inspiring team leader with the understanding of virtual distance management techniques.
- Expert in role modelling the right and productive behaviours.
- Ability to embrace and adapt to change in a positive manner and demonstrate courage and resilience in an ever-changing environment.
- Developed conflict management skills.
- Understanding the practice of the best coaching approach for individuals and the power of a good personal development plans for self and others.
- The ability to build and maintain strong and effective working relationships with customers and stakeholders, both internal and external.
- You’ll demonstrate having the ability to prioritise and will hold excellent organisation skills.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and understanding of data analysis.
As a precondition of employment for this role, you must be eligible and authorised to work in the United Kingdom.
