We are seeking an experienced and reliable telephonist to join our team of hospital switchboard operators. You will assist in the smooth operation of the hospital by ensuring the provision of a high quality and responsive communications service to our staff, patients and customers.

Previous switchboard experience is desirable, preferably in an acute hospital.

We operate windows based consoles and, as such, you will need a knowledge of IT and Windows. The post involves the monitoring of alarms and dealing with emergencies. As a department we operate 24/7, which includes Bank Holidays. The role involves covering for staff who are absent from duties. After full training has been given, you will be expected to take part in the departments on call rota.

NB: Due to flexibility of the post, this position is not suitable for students or those applicants who are already in employment and wish to increase their hours of work.

**Working pattern**: 13 hours - Saturday and Sunday 15:00pm - 21:30pm
