Business Support Officer

As a Business Support Officer, the post-holder will work as part of a dynamic team in delivering an effective service supporting Directors, Managers and staff across the Intensive Support Team providing project, clerical, and administrative support either as part of a team or individually.
In particular, the post-holder will deliver and co-ordinate an effective service supporting the Programme teams with the projects they execute, to enable the Intensive Support Team to drive improvement at the sectors most challenged providers/systems. They will be responsible for a diverse range of activities to support the delivery of projects/programmes objectives.
The post-holder is responsible for enabling the smooth running of projects/programmes by supporting Programme Leads through with the operation of project management process, the co-ordination of business management actions as well as research, clerical, and administrative services. The post-holder will work as part of a team in delivering an efficient and effective business management service.
The post-holder is a key member of the team whose overarching goal is to enable, promote and support the effective use of data, information, knowledge, relationships, and technology to improve, inform and support a portfolio of policies, projects, services, and initiatives.
The Intensive Support for Challenged Systems (ISCS) team has a specific remit to provide support to the most challenged systems, providers, CCGs, and local health economies to identify, evaluate and support the recovery of the most significant issues they face; this includes those in the Recovery Support Programme.
As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for activities in areas such as project and programme management, information management, research and development, planning and organisation, and service improvement.
You will need to have excellent communication skills, knowledge of project management principles and procedures, be able to organise and prioritise your own workload, and work in a creative, committed, and collaborative way in line with our team values.
- The reason for this role being fixed term is to cover the post holder’s secondment.
