We have an exciting opportunity for you to work with our stroke teams in North-East Essex. The post will be based on the acute stroke unit within Colchester Hospital but may also involve working with the Early Supported Discharge Team, so that there is more continuity of care for our patients and a better understanding of the acute stroke pathway.

Our team is very friendly, motivated and supportive, and we are committed to regularly reviewing our service delivery, clinical supervision and our CPD. We have years of collective clinical experience between us/ We are always very generous with our knowledge and supporting each other to grow as professionals.

We are hoping that this post may become full time should we be successful with additional funding

You will be a confident and enthusiastic graduate or NQP who can demonstrate a variety of different skills and is keen to develop their knowledge and experience working with adults who have a stroke.

You will be able to work closely with other relevant professionals, including stroke consultants, dietetics, physios, psychologists and colleagues in the acute and community Speech and Language Therapy teams.

You will be very well supported with regular peer and personal supervision and supported in completing your dysphagia training and NQP competencies. You will be encouraged to attend relevant Clinical Excellence Networks and other training to further develop your specialist knowledge
