**Job description**
We are looking for an ambitious self-starter to join our passionate, enthusiastic team. The ideal match for this role is someone with a proven track record preparing technical drawings, designs, specifications, and schedules and assisting with client management. The role best suits someone with Architectural Technician or Technologist experience.
**Principal tasks include**:
- Coordinating with Architects, project managers and builders and other stakeholders, post-sale, to coordinate and relay technical specification to ensure all stakeholders understand their responsibilities and the interaction points.
- Producing M&E drawings to illustrate the above clearly and succinctly. Notably ventilation schematics, wiring drawings, drainage locations etc.
- Producing workshop drawings - clear instructional drawing packs including cut lists and module assembly drawings.
- Glass drawings required for the accurate ordering of custom glass for sauna doors and windows, detailing hinge notches, handle penetrations, edges requiring dubbing and polishing, as well as specialist treatments.
- Producing lighting drawings for custom lighting fabrication made in the workshop.
- Producing instruction drawings for assembly of modular cabins and bench systems.
- Producing the site and installation drawing technical pack for site teams to follow to ensure mm precision installations are completed correctly.
You will already have a number of years' worth of experience within the UK construction industry, with a proven ability to design in accordance with statutory design requirements and regulations. You will excel and liaising with stakeholders and ensuring responsibilities are clearly and concisely relay and ensure that all stakeholders understand their requirements. You will have experience designing for high end marketplace companies and high net worth individuals & public figures is highly desirable. At times, this will be a client/stakeholder facing role so you must be a confident and capable individual.
**To work as an Technical Designer at Finnmark you must**:
- Ideally already have a number of years' worth of experience in practice.
- You should also be able to demonstrate a keen interest and passion for residential architecture which will be supported by a portfolio of work.
- Ideally you will have strong working knowledge of AutoCad and Revit.
- You will have sound knowledge of UK building regulations/ producing and submitting drawings.
- Strong design flair.
- Possess strong communication skills for high net worth clients and their architects and builders.
- Be able to liaise with multiple stakeholders across many tens of different projects and manage each project's design work with a very high level of attention to detail.
