Our client is a freight forwarding specialist who offers freight solutions by road, rail, sea and air through there many offices worldwide as well as through there solid network of agents and partners.
We are now looking for a Sales and Development Manager to join the team at their facility in Manchester to sell and promote Eastern and Western European Road freight solutions UK wide. Your role will mainly involve handling and promoting sales from the officewith occasion sales visits to clients
**Main responsibilities**
** Keep a record of the negotiations on our computer system.**
** Provide a weekly written sales report and list of all new accounts opened.**
** Liaise with the operations staff to obtain costs before quoting out.**
** Follow up all quotations made to ascertain competitiveness and whether a potential booking will be forthcoming.**
** Negotiate completion of the sale.**
** Take part in on-line tenders.**
** Obtain feedback from clients about tenders and quotations submitted and, if necessary, adjust selling rates for future bids.**
**Experience required**
** You will have strong sales experience in European Roadfreight preferably Eastern Europe**
** Good interpersonal skills but also be able to work independently**
** Excellent relationship building skills, identifying new business opportunities and ability to close successfully. Ability to prioritise, organise & manage time efficiently is essential.**

** An outgoing and knowledgeable personality to manage relationships with customers and sales prospects. A self-motivated individual with drive and ambition. Commercial awareness and ability to negotiate**
