Purchasing Administrator

We are currently recruiting for a Temporary Purchasing Administrator/ Expeditor to join an extremely busy Manufacturing Engineering client based in North West Manchester.
This position has been created due to an increased work load and the client is looking to add some additional support to the team.
This is a temporary role to start as soon as possible
- SAP Experience is highly advantageous.
Hours - Monday - Friday 7AM - 3PM
Role Description
- Contact suppliers for delivery dates and expedite parts
- Update internal systems with real time delivery dates/ times
- Manage and highlight or escalate any issues of part delivery through the most appropriate channels (internal / external) whilst ensuring the purchase manager is kept updated.
- Create, develop and maintain excellent working relationships with supply base and internal stakeholders.
- Work with the supply base to better the current position through purchase general tactics.
Skills & Attributes
- Demonstrable experience within a Purchasing role within an engineering/ manufacturing environment.
- Strong Telephone Manner
- Ability to prioritise workload and manage work pressure.
- Strong working knowledge of SAP - advantageous
- Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook literate.
- Excellent communication skills.
