**(1) Summary of Role**
- We are looking for an Operations Administrator to join our team in Blandford Forum, Dorset.
- This is a fantastic opportunity to join a leading charity and social enterprise in a role in which you can develop your career. The role forms part of the Operations Team, and as such, you will be key to the successful running of the operation.
- You will report to the General Manager and work with the rest of the team to ensure that all operations are carried out in a safe, professional, and timely manner. You will help implement, perform and monitor various operational administrative processes, and also assist the team in with day-to-day service delivery, maintenance and fleet, and the supervision of frontline staff.

- Dorset Community Transport (DCT) has been providing safe, accessible and affordable community transport for communities across Dorset since 2011. Our instantly recognisable green minibuses can be spotted throughout Dorset.
- DCT provides home-to-school journeys for children across the Dorset and BCP Council areas.
- DCT is also dedicated to supporting and enabling independent living, reducing isolation and encouraging social interaction, especially for vulnerable people (such as older or disabled people or those with mobility difficulties who struggle to leave their homes). We also provide group transport to local voluntary, community and social groups.

**(3) Key Tasks**
- Assist the General Manager in ensuring that the Operations Team’s processes and systems are adhered to, and assist in implementing/developing/reviewing these as needs be.
- Work with General Manager to ensure staff compliance with company policies and procedures as well as regulatory/contractual obligations.
- Support the General Manager in various HR functions including payroll, leave/absence, investigations, appraisals, training and recruitment.
- Ensure measures are in place to record and monitor the multitude of expiries (e.g. licences, permits, training, inspections, etc.) in an effective way and schedule/undertake timely renewals.
- Support the Operations Team in the maintenance programme for the fleet of vehicles, including scheduling dates for safety inspections and MOTs, and routine maintenance. Attend and assist with individual and team meetings, including disciplinary, grievance and health and safety committee meetings.
- Assist the General Manager in monitoring the performance of drivers and other front-line staff, ensuring that quality standards are maintained (e.g. uniform, customer care).
- Support the General Manager in various activities including service development, publicity and marketing, revenue/claims handling, health and safety, maintenance of the ISO systems and all other reasonably delegated duties. This will include emergency out-of-hours support where the need arises.
- Engage fully with the various software systems.
- Undertake all other reasonable duties as delegated by a senior manager within the organisation or by the Board of Trustees.

**(4) Person Specification**

We’re looking for someone to bring their administrative skills and experience to the team and who:

- has a high degree of computer literacy (including MS Excel);
- has a high level of accuracy and attention to detail;
- is able to work in a fast-paced environment;
- has previous experience in an office-based role;
- uses initiative and is a proactive self-starter;
- is able to work as part of a team.

**(5) Details of Role and Employment Particulars**
- **Hours**. This is a full-time role (i.e. 40 hours per week). However, we are willing to consider someone looking for no less than 30 hours per week. Our office is open from 7am through to 5.30pm. Shift timings to be mutually agreed.
- **Location**. 25e Sunrise Business Park, Higher Shaftesbury Road, Blandford Forum, Dorset DT11 8ST
- **Salary**. The salary will be in the region of £23,000 to £24,500 per annum (based on a 40 hour week), dependent on qualifications and previous experience. The salary will be paid monthly in arrears by direct credit transfer. The monthly salary is calculated on the basis of 12 equal months.
- **Holiday**. Holiday entitlement amounts to a total of 20 days
