Oscar Technology have partnered with a world-renowned organisation who are looking to kick start their Data and Analytics Practise and develop a cutting-edge analytics practise using the most up-to-date technologies.

You will be building models that feed into a wide variety of business areas including marketing optimisation, forecasting, Investment return amongst others. There will also be instances of building statistical and machine learning models and designing datavisualisations based on client-specific needs.

They have some very varied projects and tools which cover (but are not limited to) the following
- Computer Vision
- Neural Networks
- Tree based Methods
- Bayesian Models
- Liner / Time Series

You will get to work across a wide range of different projects and be working with their existing models and products as well as developing new products.

A lot of the existing products are build in R but going forwards, new models will be built in Python and therefore we are looking for someone who is willing to use both languages. Don't necessarily need experience of both but need to be willing to work withboth.

There is a great team around you, there is a team of 6 and they are supported by and engineering team of another 6 so twelve heads total in the group.
This role can be offered on a hybrid basis, but they are happy to offer a large amount of remote working and are looking to have an open discussion on this.

**Responsibilities**:

- Maintaining existing R models and tools
- Building models and running statistical analyses - mix of Python and R
- Visualising datasets and model outputs for understanding by a non-technical audience
- Coach and develop junior team members, so they maximise their potential.

**Skills**:

- Experience as a Data Scientist in Industry, ideally 1-4 years
- Knowledge of machine learning modelling techniques and how to fine-tune those models
- Programming - Python and R - need to be competent in at least one of these and prepared to use both
