**If you love nature and the coast then this is the job for you. **This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about nature conservation to work on one of the most beautiful and iconic stretches of coast in the country. You'll join us on a permanent full time contract and play a key part of our great team in a learning and supportive environment.

What it's like to work here:The 13 miles of coastline that we care for are characterised by long sandy bays, bookmarked by rocky headlands and backed by wildflower rich dunes. Iconic species such as Arctic terns and little terns breed on our coastline, while the Farne islands national nature reserve - a magnet for nature lovers - lie just a few miles offshore. We care for a variety of different habitats including woodland, saltmarsh, fen and dune meaning no two days are ever the same.

The work is varied and we have some exciting pieces of work coming up including tree planting and various pieces of habitat creation and restoration. You'll be expected to work outdoors in all weather conditions and should enjoy getting stuck into practical tasks.

The role also offers an opportunity for monitoring, with botanical and ornithological monitoring during the summer months. Every summer, Arctic and little terns breed on one of our beaches and between May - July you will support by servicing the site, as well as helping with monitoring, predator management and nest protection.
