Speech and Language Therapy Assistant

This is a new role within paediatric speech and language therapy which will be split between setting up robust and functional administrative systems, supporting the clinical work of the team and taking on family-facing tasks, such as booking appointments and dealing with telephone queries.
Main
**Responsibilities**:
- To assist in the provision of a high-quality speech and language therapy (SALT) service to patients within Bristol Royal Hospital for Children and to undertake duties to support the smooth functioning of the department and service.
- To set up and maintain robust administrative systems and procedures, to support clinical work of the Speech and Language Therapists.
- To have responsibility for all aspects of equipment and clinic preparation required by the team
- With appropriate support and training, to carry out therapy tasks relating to communication and feeding/swallowing disorders, with patients and carers, under the supervision of the Speech and Language Therapists
- In conjunction with the team, to manage own time and prioritise tasks with support as required
