Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech Therapist to join our healthcare team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and treating speech, language, and communication disorders across a diverse patient demographic. Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' speech, language, voice, fluency, and swallowing functions.
  • Develop personalised treatment plans based on individual diagnosis and therapeutic goals.
  • Deliver evidence-based therapy sessions to improve communication skills and swallowing abilities.
  • Monitor patient progress regularly and adjust treatment strategies accordingly.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including doctors, physiotherapists, and occupational therapists to ensure holistic patient care.
  • Educate patients and their families about therapy techniques and strategies to support ongoing improvement at home.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential patient records in compliance with healthcare regulations.
  • Stay updated with the latest developments in speech therapy practices through continuous professional development.

Qualifications

  • A recognised qualification in Speech Therapy or Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
  • Registration or licensure with relevant professional bodies (e.g., Health and Care Professions Council).
  • Demonstrable knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to speech therapy.
  • Proven experience in conducting speech therapy assessments and delivering effective interventions is preferred but not essential for entry-level candidates.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases efficiently.
  • Excellent communication skills with a compassionate approach towards patients of all ages.

Pay: £29,200.87-£49,821.47 per year
