**About the role**:
It's an exciting time to join the Cyber Security team here at AXA, with significant investment planned in all UK&I businesses to transform & deliver new digital services to our customers and streamline and automate our business processes. To help us manage the governance and oversight of our strategy technology partners and drive the Security Steering Group, we're looking for a talented individual with strong leadership skills, to join this growing team.
Working in the Cyber Security team, the Information Security Lead - Governance/Assurance will act as a key interface with key stakeholders from Internal Audit, Risk, Group Assurance teams and external auditors, whilst managing the Governance and Assurance plan and leading the team with effectively delivering on the plan.
At AXA we work smart, to support the needs of our business this role is office based meaning you'll work 100% of your week, typically from the same office location.
**What you'll be doing**:
- Accountable for setting, agreeing and maintaining the Governance and Assurance plan with the Head of Department and then organising, managing and motivating the team to effectively deliver that plan
- Responsible for running and managing the monthly governance committee meeting
- Oversight of critical security activities to ensure an acceptable risk position is maintained
- Responsible for the governance and oversight of strategic technology partners and measuring performance of security services
- Accountable for the performance management, development, training, cross functional collaboration and succession planning to raise the capability, efficiency and performance of the team
- Own policy and standards framework for Resilience and Security and measure compliance on an ongoing basis, identifying gaps and tracking remediation activities
- Support the preparation of Board level reports and spotlights on risks, issues and threat
**About you**:
**What we’re looking for**:
- Previous business and / or IT security, assurance and risk experience in a large commercial organisation
- Experience of Security Frameworks, architectures, logging & monitoring tools, reporting metrics and risk management
- Exposure of delivering security governance and assurance functions
- Ability to assimilate information quickly, clearly identify key issues and present information concisely
- Develop and maintain a wide network of contacts across the business
- Autonomous on approach and able to motivate staff
- Experienced in people and performance management
As a precondition of employment for this role, you must be eligible and authorised to work in the United Kingdom.
