Accountant

We are recruiting for an Accountant based at our **award-winning and expanding 10-acre** Renault Truck Dealership at Fradley Park - Lichfield.

Part of Allports Group, the Accountant for Allports will prepare the accounts and reports whilst overseeing the transactional services team for the sales and aftersales operations. This covers a variety of fantastic products and services, including bothour long-established Renault Truck operations and new Isuzu Truck operations.

**Main duties and responsibilities include**:

- Manage and produce the Management Accounts Pack to deadline ensuring they are accurate
- Support/produce the year-end Statutory Accounts, working papers and support during audits
- Oversee and provide technical support to the accounts and transactional team
- Assist in the production of budgets, estimates and other analysis
- Ensure all financial and commercial reports are accurate and delivered on time
- Ensure Bank and Cash positions are reconciled and Bank reports are issued by the team
- Review the Debtor and Creditor accounts ensuring the reports replicate the balance sheet and that any overdue balance is acted upon
- Ensure all Balance Sheet controls are correct and backed up with the necessary working papers and review the Balance Sheet every month
- Produce the quarterly VAT return and associated returns
- Produce the FCA and other returns as required
- Ensure fuel and other such internal systems are fully reconciled and costs are charged to departments and associated companies
- Fully qualified AAT either studying for or newly Qualified ACCA / CIMA
- 3+ years’ demonstrable experience running a small accounts team
