Nancegollan Village Hall is a much loved and well used community hub, and is about to launch into an exciting phase of upgrading and refurbishment. Along with the regular groups and events which are hosted by the hall, we are looking to further expand its appeal to a wider community with improved facilities.
As a registered charity, the hall is run by a small, dedicated team of trustees and volunteers, and we are now looking to recruit a volunteer secretary to assist with the growing administrative duties.
Secretarial Duties will include:
- General administration and correspondence of Village Hall
- General liaison with outside bodies such as insurers, health and safety, utility companies, Cornwall council etc as needed.
- Attend monthly committee meetings and any adhoc communications regarding events.
- Liaise with trustees and committee members in a timely manner
Experience and skills required are:
- Strong administrative and PC skills
- Excellent written communication
- Organisational skills, capable of establishing a user friendly filing system.
- Ability to work on own initiative.
- Ideally based from home with own PC and printer.
If you feel you have a few hours a week to assist in this critical role, we would love to hear from you. The role is voluntary, as we are a registered charity, but we are a really friendly bunch, and would love to have you on board.
