Front of House Receptionist/client Care Coordinator

We are looking for friendly and enthusiastic receptionist to join our small animal team. You would be working at our Witham main hospital and also helping out at our other branches.

Working in our busy reception being able to multitask is key, your main duties would include:

- Undertake general reception duties and maintain computerized client records in accordance with practice policy.
- To register new clients or animals on the computer and record all relevant details.
- To answer telephone enquiries and re-direct those of a technical nature to an appropriate member of staff.
- To scan and file consent forms, laboratory reports and other practice paperwork as necessary.
- To ensure that the waiting room is clean, tidy and welcoming to clients at all times.
- To process payments (in person and over the phone).
- To cash up and do an end of day analysis at the end of surgery, ensuring that all accounts balance. Any discrepancies must be explained at the earliest opportunity to the Accounts Manager.
- To arrange calls and keep other staff and branches informed, ensuring all work is covered.
- Clear communication between the team and clients
- Excellent telephone manner
- Ability to deal with upset or distressed clients in a sympathetic and courteous manner.
- To promote a good image of the practice by maintaining a good standard of work, personal appearance and communication with members of the public and colleagues

These duties may need to be altered in the future to reflect changing circumstances and requirements.

Working as part of a team we sometimes require our receptionists to cover colleagues' holidays and absences so a degree of flexibility is required. While experience in this field of reception or veterinary work would be desired it is not essential as full training and support will be given.

**We are looking for a receptionist to work 37.5 hours a week and Saturdays on a rota basis. Shifts varying from either 7:45/8am - 7/7:30pm**

**Salary**: £9.50 per hour
