Quality and Safety Team Administrator

This new post will support the Quality and Safety team in the co-ordination and delivery of quality, safety and patient experience across the Clinical Board as they implement 2 new pieces of legislation and expand their areas of oversight of governance across the Clinical Board and ensure that systems for learning and improvement are in place, effective and monitored. You will be a point of contact for providing quality, safety and patient experience support and advice where required. It would be beneficial to have experience in the field of quality, safety & compliance, with understanding of the relationships with Primary Care contractors. You will have experience of using and managing systems such as DATIX and Excel, manipulating and analysing data and presenting them in a user-friendly format. You need to be an excellent team player, have good communication skills, excellent time management skills and an ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
Successful applicants would benefit from a thorough understanding of the NHS, extensive knowledge of administrative systems and experience of working with IT systems and databases, analytical skills and experience of providing a service focused environment. Good communication skills, both written and verbal, will be required.
The Team Administrator will provide a comprehensive administrative and secretarial service to the Quality and Safety Team ensuring that effective and efficient clinical governance and quality and safety processes are developed and maintained. The role involves administrative and clerical support and event management. The post-holder will be self-directed, tenacious and able to work as a key member of the team with a flexible approach.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
The team exists to help improve the quality and safety of primary healthcare services, and the experiences of patients and carers. We have a unique opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join the PCIC Quality and Safety team. Your role will be essential in supporting the Clinical Board Quality and Safety team in the delivery of the quality and clinical governance agenda in a fast paced environment. The team is based in Woodland House and will consider flexible or hybrid working arrangements.
