**The vacancy**

**Main Purpose of the role**:
Your primary responsibility is to ensure accurate data entry and timely administration of the Firm’s monthly payroll and employee benefits and managing HR processes using the appropriate systems and procedures. In addition you will play an active role as a key person in our small team providing generalist HR services and support to the business.

**Including**:
Lead on the accurate and timely delivery of the monthly employee payroll, ensuring statutory reporting requirements are met.

Lead on payroll processes including tax, NI and statutory elements using the Cascade Payroll system.

Ensure payroll end to end and statutory processes, including RTI, FPS, EPS, Pension auto-enrolment, apprenticeship levy are completed and complied with.

Administer salary exchange benefits within the statutory parameters. Provide appropriate reports, liaise with external regulatory bodies such as The Pensions Regulator and HMRC as required.

Provide accurate HR administration from new starters through to managing leavers, setting up new employee records, administering pay and benefits, updating records for changes, and ensuring leavers are processed appropriately.

Maintain employee records; ensure that employee changes are entered correctly and made on a timely basis; review changes for proper authorisation and adherence to policy and statute.

Co-ordinate employment related activity and communication between Payroll, Human Resources, Finance, Database and other departments to ensure proper flow and maintenance of accurate employee data. Be the initial point of contact for all internal payroll queries.

Be an ambassador for the firm, support recruitment activities with schools, colleges, universities and careers fairs, assist with recruitment processes from attraction through to on-boarding activities including the HR aspects of new employee induction.

**Transformation**

Provide administrative and practical support for HR activities and projects to develop the HR services proposition, including the annual wellbeing plan.

**Additional duties**

Process invoices and charges for HR expenditure to the appropriate budget nominal through the relevant finance system.

Input to reports and updates, such as the monthly reports for the Board, Gender Pay Gap, status updates and information of interest for your area of responsibility.

You’ll need to have the following essential skills and experience:

- Working knowledge of key payroll calculations and processes for tax, NI and statutory elements
- Experienced in payroll end to end statutory processes, including RTI, FPS, EPS, Pension auto-enrolment, apprenticeship levy
- Experience with reconciliation of reports, liaison with external regulatory bodies such as The Pensions Regulator and HMRC
- Experience of administering salary exchange within statutory parameters
- Good generalist HR administration experience
- Strong organisational skills and logic
- Cascade HR and payroll experience is strongly preferred
