**KEY TASKS**
- Communicate & greet customers in a friendly and respectful manner.
- Deliver a high standard of service at the table and in the bar.
- Promote the image of Blacknest.
- Deliver a prompt service at all times.
- Ensure that the surroundings are clean and tidy at all times.

**BAR DUTIES**
- Serve customers in a friendly and helpful manner.
- Mix ingredients to prepare cocktails and other drinks.
- Prepare and cut fruit to be used to garnish drinks.
- Collect and wash glassware and utensils after each use.
- Make sure the bar is well stocked and rotate regularly.
- Collect payments, operate till, reconcile money morning and evening.
- Check identification of customers to make sure they meet age requirements for purchase of alcohol.
- Adhere to licensing regulations.
- Determine when a customer has had too much alcohol.
- Clean up after customers and clean work area.
- Hoover, dust and clean bar/restaurant.

**WAITING DUTIES**
- Greet and escort customers to their tables.
- Take drink order and ask if they require a jug of water.
- Present menus to customers and answer questions about menu items, making recommendations upon request.
- Explain how various menu items are prepared, describing ingredients and cooking methods.
- Inform customers of daily specials and take food order.
- Remove dishes and glasses from tables or counters, and take them to kitchen & load into dishwasher.
- Check with customers to ensure that they are enjoying their meals and take action to correct any problems.
- Ask if they would like to see dessert menu.
- Take dessert order.
- Prepare and present bill.
- Collect payment and operate till.
- Hoover, dust and clean restaurant and cafe.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time

**Salary**: £7.00-£10.00 per hour
