**Job Title: Mobile Textile Bank Maintenance Operator**

**Responsible to: Operations Manager**

**Responsible for: The Mobile Textile Bank Maintenance Operator is responsible for ensuring the proper functioning, maintenance, and servicing of the group’s têxtile banks (clothing donation bins) across locations in Ireland. This includes routine maintenance, repairs, coordination with the operations team, compliance with health and safety standards, and ensuring high service levels. The role requires a mechanically skilled and proactive individual who can troubleshoot issues, manage time effectively, and uphold the company’s safety and operational policies.**

**Responsibilities**:

- Health, Safety, and Compliance
- Ensure full compliance with Health & Safety regulations, company policies, and risk assessments.
- Routine Maintenance & Repairs
- Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure all têxtile banks are in good working condition.
- Perform cleaning, lubrication, and minor repairs on mechanical components such as hinges, doors, locks, and collection mechanisms.
- Logistics & Coordination
- Plan efficient maintenance routes to service multiple têxtile bank locations.
- Coordinate maintenance and repairs.
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities.

- Quality Assurance
- Ensure all têxtile banks are clean, functional, and presentable to the public.
- Report major issues or recurring problems

Customer Service
- Interact professionally with site owners, council staff, and the public when on-site.
- Work Environment:

- This role involves traveling to multiple locations within a designated area.
- Work is performed both indoors and outdoors, often in varying weather conditions.
- Requires frequent bending, lifting, and standing.
- Company van and necessary equipment will be provided.

**Skills**
- Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to diagnose and repair common issues.
- Experience using hand and power tools for maintenance and repairs.
- Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and plan efficient routes.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with customers and stakeholders.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records of maintenance activities.
- Basic electrical knowledge and welding experience are a plus.

**Experience and Qualifications**
- GCSEs or equivalent; technical certification or training in maintenance, metalworks, or related fields is a plus.
- Proven experience in maintenance, repair, or a similar role (experience with clothing banks or similar equipment is an advantage).
- Forklift Licence (desirable).
- Valid UK driver’s license (essential).
- Physical ability to lift heavy objects and work in various weather conditions.
