**We are looking for**:
- People with a genuine interest in improving patient safety and promoting a positive patient experience of health services in their local community.
- People from all ethnicities including minority groups, those from BAME and people who have learning disabilities, sensory impairments who would like to be involved. You will be fully supported with your needs to enable you to contribute fully to this role.
- People who want to help others and feel that the service user/patients’ voice should be valued by those providing health and care services to our community.
As part of the NHS Patient Safety Strategy (2019), we are looking to recruit 4 Patient Safety Partners who will be vital to taking patient safety improvement initiatives forward. You will have the opportunity to work on team projects both within inpatient areas and in the community as well as representing the ‘patients’ voice’ at senior meetings with the support from the Lead Patient Safety Specialist.
- Attendance at senior trust meetings (you will always be supported) including the safety and quality committee meeting where safety information is discussed.
- Given a voice to ensure that the service user’s perspective is heard and considered
- Participation in a supportive online forum to discuss your progress with patient safety initiatives you are involved with along with your fellow Patient Safety Partners.
- Opportunities to share ideas to improve the experiences of service users, and support to take these ideas forward
- To be ‘part of the team’ working with health professionals in the community and on inpatient areas to improve patient safety eg. contributing to the design and content of patient information online and via leaflets; introducing new ways of working; helping to change patient environments to make them safer and a better experience for service users
- Involvement with CWP Education in the design and development of staff patient safety training
- Participation in the new National Patient Safety Incident Response Framework (PSIRF) that is being implemented within CWP. Providing patient insights to enable maximum learning for staff will make you a valued part of this work.
CWP provides health and care services for local people, including mental health, learning disability, community physical health and all-age disability care - including the provision of three GP surgeries.
