Job description Footsteps a Path to Change 08 Ltd is looking to recruit a **Senior Residential Support Worker** to join their staff team for their 2 bed residential children's home located in Northwich, Ofsted rated 'Good'. The shift pattern is 2 days in and 4 days off. The 2 days in are from 7.30am until 11pm sleep over, going into the following day of 7.30am until 11pm sleep over followed by 4 days off. The home has a child centred ethos and it is paramount to its success. A full driving license is essential to the role as is a hard working and motivated attitude. A Diploma level 3 in Residential Childcare is required. We are proud of our **Dog Therapy programme** which aims to support young people in ways, often, only animals can, i.e., offer companionship, develop social skills, reducing anxiety. During visits, with the handler and staff support, the young person can read to the dog, groom him, go for walks, play fetch, learn to use basic commands, etc. We have found even a few minutes spent with the therapy dog can hugely impact a young person's mood and motivate them to engage in tasks they were initially declining. The advertised monthly pay is based on the contracted 173 hours, an average of 11 sleeps ins and an average of 4 on calls. On calls and sleep ins will be put on rota each month. The number of sleeps and on calls may vary. - Each sleep in is paid at £50.00 per sleep. - On calls are paid at £20.00 per on call.
