Purchase Ledger Assistant

**Alarm Communications Limited (ACL)**, an integral division of **Marlowe Fire & Security Group**, are looking to appoint a Purchase Ledger Assistant To be responsible for all purchase ledger activities and providing admin support to the finance team as required.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Checking Invoices to purchase orders and requesting POD's if not receipted.
- Matching Invoices to Purchase order receipts and Sub-Contract works orders.
- Process invoices in a timely manner to ensure job costs are accurate and all transactions are processed by month end
- Statement reconciliations
- Checking expenses to receipts and receiving approval from Divisional Managers prior to processing for payment.
- Analysis of large monthly credit card bill, checking receipts, raising queries, and chasing missing receipts.
- Create Payment runs for appropriate supplier and employee expense payment dates
- Enter payments onto SAGE and send remittances
- Create new Supplier and keep both SAGE and SIMPRO Supplier information up to date.
- Create CIS Certificates when paying Sub-Contractors who have CIS deductions
- Adhoc duties within Finance as and when required
- Download monthly discrepancy report and highlight any significant differences to service co-ordinator / contract manager.
- Raising price queries to suppliers and chasing up credits
**Key Relationships**:
The post holder will liaise regularly with suppliers, senior management, engineers, and office staff. You will be working as part of a small team within an ISO accredited environment and will need to demonstrate a genuine capacity for process adherence andprocess improvement.
- Ideally 2-3 years experience in a similar position.
- Exceptional customer service skills
- Confident with Microsoft Office packages, mainly Excel
- Good level of P.C, maths and literacy skills
- Highly organised and process driven
- Happy dealing with people at all levels within the business
- Able to work independently
- Must be used to working to strict monthly deadlines
**Remuneration & Benefits**
- £24-27,000 Subject to experience
- 22 days holiday a year

**This will be an office based position working Mon - Fri 8.30am till 17.00pm**
