Wales, United Kingdom CANCER RESEARCH WALES Full time

**Volunteer Role Profile - Retail Assistant**

**CANCER RESEARCH WALES**

Here at Cancer Research Wales, we are funding some of the world’s leading cancer research. The discoveries our scientists are making in hospitals and universities across Wales are transforming how people with cancer are diagnosed and treated. This ground-breaking research is helping more people survive cancer than ever before.

However, Wales suffers from poor cancer survival rates compared to many Western countries, and people living in areas of relatively high deprivation are disproportionately affected. We do not receive any government funding, so this innovative work is only made possible through our generous supporters and donors.

Volunteer positions available at our stores in **Neath, Port Talbot, Swansea, Talbot Green, Merthyr and Cardiff.**

At Cancer Research Wales, we are always looking for volunteers to help organise our vital fundraising events and to work in our shops.

We pride ourselves on being one big team, but with time for everyone. We hope our personal touch makes volunteering extra special.

Would you like to make a difference? There are all sorts of things you can do to get involved in our shops, some behind the scenes and others working with the public.

**What does the role involve**
- Working on the tills
- Stock management
- Liaising with customers
- Sorting and organising donations

**How much time do I need to give**

We like to be flexible with our volunteers. This role would be best suited to someone who can commit to a minimum of one day a week; however, we can be flexible on days or hours split across a few days if you prefer - there are plenty of opportunities to volunteer from as little as 2 to 4 hours per week.

**What else do I need to know**

We welcome everybody into the team, and our team treat all their fellow colleagues, customers and donors with respect and kindness. If you have any other questions, please do not hesitate to ask.

We look forward to hearing from you.

Thank you for considering volunteering with Cancer Research Wales.
