Are you a graduate looking to launch your career?Would you like to join a large charity who support young people with learning disabilities and learning difficulties (autism / ADHD) to thrive in the world of work?
**Please note: This is a part time role at 16 hours weekly (2 or 3 days depending on business needs)**You preferably have access to your own car as this role requires outreach in Birmingham and the surrounding areas
**You MUST have and be able to present GCSE certificates in Maths and English - this is essential for the role**
The charity delivers a supported internship programme.Young people study employability & life skills whilst imbedding English and Maths on the course.As part of this, they will be allocated an employer to go on a work placement with.Your role will varyday to day, but could include:

- Supporting the young person to plan their journey to work so they can become independent
- Attending work with them, working closely with employers to provide support as needed
- End of day calls with the young person and employer to check on progress
- Liaising closely with the tutor around potential extra support needs
You will have a caseload of 5 - 6 young people (could increase/decrease depending on workflow) and you will be making a huge difference in their lives.
To apply, you might be a recent graduate in a related degree such as psychology.Or you might have experience of working with young people with support needs, so could have worked as a tutor, teacher or learning support assistant or teaching assistant.Youmight have also worked as a support worker, hostel worker, careers advisor or employment advisor.
