We have an exciting opportunity for Mentors to join our team in Birmingham. As a mentor you will work with the management team to run effectively our Supported Accommodation for Young People.

**About the company**

HebolSupport is dedicated in helping young people make a successful move into adulthood and live independently. We offer specialist Supported accommodation and outreach support to help young people and people gain skills, confidence and plan for a successful future.

Each young person is supported by experienced mentors who help them to focus on strengths, abilities and dreams for the future and to draw up a support plan which breaks down identified goals into steps that are easier to achieve. Support hours vary according to each young person’s needs, they can be increased or reduced as required.

**About the Role**

Some of the key responsibilities are the following:

- Ensure a high-quality service is delivered to young people and stakeholders at all times.
- Write and implement Support Plans and Risk Assessments.
- Develop and maintain relationships with young people and their families engaging with local agencies and community.
- Organise and coordinate all young people activities & appointments within set timeframes.
- Carry out practical tasks with Young people including key-working and generally taking an active part in their daily lives.

You may be required to take on other responsibilities as the needs growing business change.
- Hold NVQ/QCF Level 3 Caring for Children and Young People or equivalent or prepared to train for the qualification within 18 months.
- Have at least 12 months’ experience working with young people.
- Great listening and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent independent living skills such as cooking, cleaning, budgeting, social activities etc.
- Positive behaviour management and communication skills.
- Required to provide an Enhanced disclosure and satisfactory references

**Type**: Zero-hour contract with the opportunity for regular hours

- 10 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Night shift
