Initial 6 month contract for this Employer of Choice based near Milton Keynes as Interim CFO.
Key remit is to oversee all finance aspects of the Business and drive the company's financial strategy and planning.
You will enjoy a varied role and be responsible for assessing and reporting the financial performance of the company as well as managing possible risks and investments, and to work closely with main Board of Directors.

Key accountabilities will be:
Drive the financial planning of the company by analysing its performance and risks
- Retain constant awareness of the company's financial and cash position and act to prevent problems
- Leadership and development of the accounting and finance team
- Oversee all audit and internal control operations Development and leading the annual budgeting, financial planning process
- Ownership and oversight of development of MI, Data and KPI dashboards
- Develop the corporate fund raising strategy and manage relationships with partners and investors
- Prepare timely and detailed reports on financial performance on agreed timescales
- Support the wider Commercial Team with reporting and cash flow management
- Conduct analysis to make forecasts and report to the Board
- Management of Tax compliance
- Management of the risk framework
- Ensure adherence to financial laws and guidelines
- Manage relationships and renewals with group insurers
The criteria for the role the below would be ideal:
Be ACCA / CIMA / ACA qualified with advanced excel skills, and a good working understanding around contracts, WIP and project accounting. You will be comfortable combining forecasts into integrated financial statements, so experience in a management accountingor FP&A role is important.
- Worked in a Construction or Utilities business or similar, where long term contracting is the main accounting convention reporting under IFRS15.
- Have a good knowledge of commercial contract terms, milestones, similar income and cost recognition conventions.
- Ideally, you will you have worked in a private equity backed business and / or leveraged environment so are familiar with the constructs of working within Investor funding structures
- Knowledge of Microsoft Power BI or similar is essential and would be helpful as the company starts to examine next generation MI tools.
- You must have strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to present information and yourself effectively and a personality to be able to negotiate and challenge information from different areas of the business.
- Have Leadership, management & team development strengths and delivering to high standards on a consistent timely basis.
- Technical skills required are excel, financial modelling and presentations (PowerPoint )
