We are making waves in the menswear industry and if that interests you then you’ll want to know that we have an exciting new opportunity to join our dynamic Wholesale team as a Merchandiser based in our Thorpe Park, head office.

Key Accountabilities

As a Merchandiser you will play a vital role within your team to ensure that the business buys the right product, for the right place at the right time. This is a pivotal role where you will be responsible for achieving budgeted stock, sales and margin managing the growth and development of the junior members of the team.

**Knowledge/Skills**:
The ability to cope with the pressure of having to make important decisions and meet tight deadlines.

Knowledge of relevant product categories and competitors

Presentation skills - visual, verbal and written

Organisational skills - the ability to manage the critical path from product development to delivery / in store sales

Team player - ability to manage working relationships at all levels

Numerate - working with margin calculations and budgets

Analytical skills - ability to analyse and interpret various data sources and reports

Negotiation skills - ability to work with suppliers to agree the best price for a product while maintaining quality requirements

Problem solving skills - able to make the right the decision when faced with sales / margin / supply issues

Management skills - Ability to manage and mentor assistants and adapt your management technique to suit your team.

Understanding of the clothing industry & trading environments. Broad knowledge of either retail or wholesale environments

Strategic thinker - able to look forward and innovate

Self-motivated

**PC Skills**:
Computer literate

Knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint & Word

Company PDM / Product Order Systems

**Experience**:
GCSE level C in Maths & English

Ideally to have a buying, fashion or têxtiles degree

At least 2 years as a Senior Assistant Merchandiser or equivalent - ideally in a related category with previous WSSI exposure
