Assembly and Stores Assistant

Working as part of the wider manufacturing team, you will be also be required to assist in the Stores area, assisting the movement of new product orders, placing in the appropriate stock holding areas safely and efficiently. Checking orders against productdelivery note, raising any concerns with the team leader and flagging any issues for damaged/missing parts.
The role of Assembly and Stores Assistant is a very physical role, which does involve lifting of stock and products, which is usually boxed, ensuring that the assembly teams are stocked with correct levels and quality of component parts, assisting with thelabeling/picking, packing and distribution of customer orders.
You will have excellent verbal and written communication skills, the ability to work confidently with stock ordering systems (similar to ERP) and able to share critical information with management. There is a need to handle a range of metals and raw materials,disposing of waste products in the correct manner, completion of paperwork and assessing the quality of assembled products.
As Assembly and Stores Assistant, you will need a range of skills and experience, ideally gained in a Stores environment with the ability to adapt to change on a daily basis, moving around the business where the need requires.
