This is an exciting opportunity for experienced support workers to join our service, supporting young people aged with complex needs, requiring support with personal care, emotional, behavioural and learning difficulties.
- Have experience of working with Service Users with complex needs including personal care support, mental health, self-harm and physically challenging behaviours.
- Have a minimum of six months experience working with Young People
- Have work experience and knowledge of Learning Difficulties/Disabilities
- Must have a driving license and have access to your own vehicle
- **Able to commit to a 24 hour shift pattern and work weekends. 8am - 11pm, followed by a sleep-in shift until 7am, and a one hour shift from 7am-8am. The shift pattern is working 1 day on, followed by 2 days off on a rolling shift pattern.**:

- Main list of duties include, but not limited to:

- Provide personal care support;
- Manage physically challenging behaviours including, but not limited to, biting, hitting, spitting
- To safeguard and promote the welfare and health of all Service Users within the Home, including the protection from any harm/exploitation.
- Promote independence for all Young People, supporting them with developing social, emotional and life skills.
- To provide activities, support and structure for our transitional service users in the home ensuring appropriate levels and standards of supportive care.
- Conduct key worker sessions
- Support young people to attend medical appointments.
- To maintain standards of good practice at all times, establishing purposeful and constructive relationships and appropriate role modelling so as to assist with the development of their life, activities, education, social skills and personal skills.
- To maintain and produce required records and reports as necessary to ensure smooth, efficient running of the home.
- To participate on a shift basis by rota, demonstrating a level of commitment and flexibility to enable the efficient running of the home.
- To undertake training and utilise learning within the home.
- Where applicable, to attend to and contribute to any review, case conference and planning meeting as necessary.
- To contribute to good practice standards within the company by identifying and highlighting service shortfalls and planning methods of development to meet such shortfalls.
- To speak up if there are any concerns that may affect maters in respect to any service user.
- To undertake supervision and monitoring of practice standards within the staff complement.
- To help with the general upkeep of the household
- Other duties and responsibilities expressed and implied which arise from the nature and character of the post within the company mentioned above.
