?The position:
They are seeking a creative Video Producer & Editor to shoot and edit content to help them end the abuse of animals raised for food.
This is an exciting time to join the team as they want to increase their output to better harness the power of video, so you’ll be able to contribute your creative ideas for increasing their reach and impact.
This is a permanent, part-time position 20 hours per week across the week (to be agreed).
They will be holding a webinar on Monday 12th September at 7.30pm BST for you to find out more about the role and ask any questions you may have. The webinar will be hosted by Hannah Yates, Head of Communications and Katie Ferneyhough, Organising Manager.If you are interested, please register here. Who you are:
As Video Producer & Editor, you will create videos to inspire action and amplify the impact of their campaigns. You will be a detail-oriented person with strong storytelling skills as demonstrated through an online portfolio.
You have strong organisational and interpersonal skills and are comfortable collaborating with a wide range of stakeholders. You are a creative problem-solver with a focus on innovation and improvement, who wants to bring your passion and talents to a jobthat creates real change. You’re open to and value feedback. You’ll have the ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team in a fast-paced environment. And, you’ll be able to prioritise and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
Primary Duties:
- Work with staff members across the UK organisation to understand video needs and manage incoming requests
- Collaborate with the wider global video team at them, seeking and providing sound, constructive feedback as necessary
- Shoot high-quality video at events, such as protests and stunts
- Collaborate with the comms team in the UK and US - attending and contributing to meetings and brainstorms
- Handle creative video requests using our internal project management system, Asana, with autonomy - while receiving feedback from project stakeholders and keeping them updated
- Finalising video edits to meet important deadlines
**Requirements**:
- Experience in professional video editing, incorporating text and graphic animation, as well as audio editing
- Expertise in: Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe After Effects, Audition (or similar program), Photoshop, Illustrator
- Experience in all aspects of post-production including editing, colour grading, encoding, sound design, compression and basic animation
- Experience of HD and RAW digital editing workflows and digital formats. General knowledge of Adobe’s Dynamic Link
- Ability to source online resources when necessary, such as: stock footage, royalty-free music, etc
- Practical understanding of graphic design and typography
- Experience in general sound editing and sound design
- Experience filming on HD cameras while capturing clean audio from various microphone set ups
- Advanced animation skills are a plus
In Addition:
- Attend conferences, events, protests and actions if needed
- Occasionally participate in meetings including note-taking and facilitation
- Attend in-person workshops several times a year
- Perform any other duties assigned by the Head of Communications
