About The Role
Swissport are currently looking for professional Transport Agents to join their Heathrow Cargo team.You will be responsible for collecting and delivery of cargo and mail, as well as sorting and transporting the cargo and mail to aircraft, warehouses and mailwarehouse. You will need to ensure the safe completion of a full range of handling activities which may include the loading and unloading of freight, loose or bulk cargo and mail, using specialist ground servicing equipment. This is a great opportunity tojoin a dynamic cargo operation at the heart of Heathrow Airport.
Responsibilities include:

- Ensuring your area of the turnaround is completed accurately
- Ensuring performance standards are met
- Ensuring airline quality and punctuality standards are met
- The operation of vehicles, attending and performing to daily operator checks; and ensuring that they are always kept clean
- Safely and effective working, and always assure compliance with health and safety
- Ensuring the completion of paperwork is correct
- Unloading air cargo and mail, bulk and/or containers/pallets
- Delivering air cargo to the appropriate recipient
- Providing special handling of cargo/mail as required
- Exporting collection to be taken to aircraft, cargo collected from warehouse, mail collected from the post office, and deliver to the aircraft
- Importing collected from aircraft and cargo/mail to be taken to warehouse/post office via Customs
- Collecting and load live animals and dangerous goods onto aircraft
- Reporting all equipment malfunctions to the appropriate supervisor/manager
- Complying with all relevant legislation, airport authority and carrier security requirements.
- Complying with all UK/Ireland/EU legislation
- Complying with Swissport Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s)
- Maintaining the highest standards of safety and security at all time
- Other duties as assigned
About You
- Flexible to work a variety of shifts (days, evening, weekends, and public holidays);
- Ability to travel to the airport at times where public transport is not available
- Willingness to work in inclement weather
- Able to work in a manual environment and repeatedly lift up to 32kg throughout a shift.
- Able to work in some confined spaces
- Able to work as a team in a fast-paced and challenging environment
- Hold a full driving licence
