**LEAD ANALYST** **UP TO £80,000** **LONDON** Rising sporting events company hiring for a Lead Analyst position. **THE ROLE**: The Lead Analyst will have the following responsibilities: - Performing data and statistical analysis using a broad array of visual, predictive, and spatial techniques to identify new data-driven insights and value opportunities that will transform and improve business, fan and revenue outcomes. - Translate business problems, using the right data, people, technology, and processes to solve key business problems with actionable data-driven solutions. - Writing up your findings into visually appealing reports and deep insights based on your analysis, answering the "why" behind the "what", not just reporting numbers. - Tracking the latest industry trends in the global sports, media and entertainment industries. - Help identify areas where data science can be applied to generate value for the business. - Working alongside relevant departments, manage internal and external data resources, including external agencies to manage data quality. - Collaborate cross-departmentally to develop a suite of rich, differentiating data propositions so that we can reach, engage and learn from our audience. - Develop strong working relationships across the business representing data capabilities across the board. - Lead and change data usage across the industry from a siloed single business asset to deliver wider business value. - Contribute to shaping the data technology roadmap in collaboration with Head of Technology Programme Management and Head of Digital. - Manage technical challenges and timescale constraints with senior stakeholders. **YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE**: The Lead Analyst will have the following skills and experience: ? A degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Physics or equivalent. ? Strong SQL and excellence in converting high volume of data into insightful information. ? Advanced Excel skills and programming skills in Python or similar. ? Knowledge of clustering and classification methodologies and models. ? Very good presentation skills, preferably with experience delivering client briefings. ? Proven record communicating your findings to a non-technical audience, eloquently narrating the story behind the numbers. ? Experience in working alongside stakeholders to define and execute a data research project. ? Analytical mindset - problem solving through analytical techniques. ? Excellent written and verbal communications skills. ? A working knowledge of how to utilize data to grow and inform a global commercial brand with a preference towards experience working with or for a global sport and/or media and entertainment property. **THE BENEFITS**: The successful Lead Analyst will receive a salary of between £60,000 and £80,000. **HOW TO APPLY
