**Duty Operations Co-ordinator**
**Purpose of the Role**
- Manage and co-ordinate ad-hoc operational activities in support of the commercial flying programme and assist with the core flying programme as required. Work as part of a shift team ensuring activities are covered on a 24/ 7 basis when required._

**Responsibilities**:

- Ensure all components of the operation comply with the AirTanker Operations Manuals and Standards, and all relevant legislation.
- Ensuring the necessary electronic briefing data is available and up to date for all crews as required.
- Ability to complete pre and post flight analysis on fuel management.
- Ensuring the Crew Scheduling Section and all relevant key customer / stakeholders are advised of any delays or changes to flight programme. As required co-ordination of crewing resources for short notice changes to the flying programme.
- Ensuring the operations log is accurately maintained recording all significant events or programme changes. Issuing end of shift report.
- Co-ordinating all matters relating the daily and future flying programme within the current operating window, ensuring that all components of the operation comply with relevant legislation.
- Primary OCC lead for ad-hoc operational activity, including short notice and out of hours charter enquiries and co-ordination of subsequent activities with relevant departments.
- Oversight and co-ordination of ATC slot management.
- Briefing the OCC Manager and relevant stakeholders.
- Providing input into the ground operations planning where applicable.
- Co-ordinate with relevant customers regarding day to day operational activity and any schedule disruption.
- Supporting OCC department with core fleet operations as required.
- Being personally responsible for engaging in all facets of the role in line with the requirements of the AirTanker SMS, Quality and Environmental Management Systems to provide a safe and efficient outcome to all that you do.This includes maintaining awareness of the company safety and quality policies and the hazard analyses applicable to your tasking.
- Working as part of a shift team ensuring activities are manned on a 24/7 basis when required.
- Acting as ETOPs specialist within the OCC.
- Providing support and a flight watch service to the crews when operating away from the main operating base.

**The Individual**
Essential job holder qualifications & experience at recruitment
- Previous experience of an operations role within a commercial airline operations room environment.
- ETOPs flight planning experience.
- Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external agencies.
- Team player, but ability to work under their own initiative when required.
- A proven ability to maintain accurate records and provide reports in a complex environment, working to tight and/or competing deadlines.
- Proven Leadership skills.
- Be proficient in the English Language (written, verbal & reading). ICAO Level 4.Desirable job holder qualifications & experience at recruitment
- Understanding of auditors qualification would be desirable e.g. IOSA
- Jeppesen software experience desirable.
- Experience of Skybook or similar crew briefing systems.
- Despatch Licence holder (desirable, but not essential)
