Covert Investigator

_**My Local Bobby LTD are currently looking for a Full time Covert Investigator to join our prolific crimes team, working on a varied shift pattern and an immediate start. **_

**Role Overview**:
My Local Bobby, a growing security organisation, that aims in creating safer communities is seeking highly motivated individuals to join our expanding Prolific Crimes Team as Covert Investigators. Working across different areas of London ,the home counties and Suffolk, ideally this role would suit those with policing experience or a covert investigation experience, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to work effectively as part of a covert, plain-clothes team.

**As a Covert Investigator at My Local Bobby, you will be expected to**:

- Proactively identify local offenders and shoplifters, recognising criminal activity, and responding to calls from stores/clients reporting suspicious behaviour or detained suspects.
- Conduct private criminal prosecutions, managing your own caseload and building evidential bundles (collecting CCTV, witness statements, and exhibits).
- Attend court when necessary to present evidence and support the prosecution process
- Build and maintain relationships with retailers in the areas we work.
- Collaborate with local councils, Business Improvement Districts (BIDs), and partner agencies such as outreach teams.

**KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND QUALIFICATIONS**
- Policing experience is desired but not mandatory. Training will be provided in-house.
- Good level of fitness required, as the role involves active fieldwork.
- Experience in compiling evidential case papers is preferred but not essential.
- Ability to write witness statements.
- Possession of a valid driver's licence is preferred but not essential.
- Must be a team player with effective communication skills.
- Proficient in English as the role involves interactions with victims, witnesses, and suspects.

**Working Hours**:

- 8-hour shifts, typically 11:00-19:00. However, these may vary depending on operational priorities.
