**JOB PURPOSE**

The Supply Chain Manager will be responsible for maximising the supply chain efficiency and effectiveness in the UK. Primary responsibilities will include the implementation and evaluation of supply chain logistics activities and procedures, including butnot limited to stock planning, service material procurement, inventory control, distribution management, resource balancing, perpetual inventory counts, stock obsolescence analysis and general warehouse duties. You will be a budget holder with direct staffresponsibility to include procurement, Health and Safety and facilities and storemen.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Works effectively across the organisation to ensure successful execution of supply chain support on many integrated efforts.
- Develop materials planning function for goods and materials needed for company operations.
- Ensure forecasts over a rolling time horizon to be used for ordering and inventory management purposes.
- Create integrated processes among Operations, Purchasing, Logistics and outside suppliers to execute the planning/replenishment process.
- Add value to the Senior Management Team and be an individual that can approach business challenges.
- Management responsibility for UK quality control and quality assurance, ensuring compliance to the necessary standards required by the business (ISO9001, FGAS, RoHS, WEEE, REACH, MCS, and any specific country specific compliance schemes)
- Ensure UK production and warehouse processes are implemented, with tools, facilities and instructions to deliver the required production output, and ensure processes are safe by design and during operation.
- Define UK stock levels to meet demand and develop and meet inventory goals for the company which effectively balance cash-flow, lead-times and inventory turn rates, but also works within the UK facility footprint.
- Identify systems tools needed to implement planning/forecasting systems. Lead re-engineering efforts as it relates to supply chain planning and execution systems.
- Manage and supervise operational staff tasked with creating material requirement plans and/or forecasts.
- Enhance business development by communicating performance standards, developing joint improvement initiatives, and actively soliciting formal feedback.
- Establish key performance against goals on a regular basis and present results to senior management.
- Defines integrated logistics support requirements.
- Coordinate development of solutions to complex logistics support problems with other product support functions, customers and suppliers.
- Develop and implement logistics plans inclusive of supplier contracts, routing guidelines, problem resolution and cost containment.
- Manages international and domestic flow of materials
- Evaluates supply chain needs and selection of shipment modes
- Works with carriers and customers brokers to expedite shipments.
- Ensuring supply contingency plans are available, up to date and easily activated in the event primary suppliers are unable to perform.
- Promote the achievement of corporate goals and objectives.
- Present a professional, respectful, and courteous manner when interacting with employees and suppliers. Teamwork skills are critical for this role.
