We are currently seeking a dynamic individual to join our team in the role of **Head of Regulatory Compliance Trust and Fiduciary Services**

The Regulatory Compliance Trust and Fiduciary Services is responsible for providing oversight to ensure that HSBC’s operations are effective in identifying, managing and mitigating Regulatory Compliance risks for Trust & Fiduciary Services (TFS) Jersey.

The purpose of this role is to Act in a regulated capacity as the Jersey Financial Services Commission (JFSC) registered Compliance Officer for HSBC Trustee (C.I) Limited (HTCI), HSBC International Trustee Limited, Jersey Branch (HKIT), HSBC Private Banking Nominee 3 (Jersey) Limited and HSBC PB Corporate Services 1 Limited and be responsible for discharging the legal and regulatory requirements of this role.

**In this role you will**:

- Articulate the Regulatory Compliance risks for TFS. Support TFS line management to maintain an effective control framework in order to ensure that all business is conducted in accordance with the letter and the spirit of all applicable laws, rules, regulations including the Codes of practice, Global Principles, relevant FIMs and good market practice.
- Support the oversight and development of CIIOMs approach to Conduct Risk, working with Risk Stewards to increase awareness of Conduct Risk and embed the Group approach to Conduct Risk management.
- Foster a positive culture of compliance by working proactively with the business line, Business Risk and Control Management (BRCM), Compliance colleagues and other risk stewards to ensure that best practices are followed in accordance with the applicable laws, rules, regulations, and internal policy.
- Be responsible for second line governance of Regulatory Compliance, providing analysis, reporting and governance to CIIOM that is independent of the first line of defence, thereby maintaining an objective assessment of risk exposure.
- Assist the Head of Regulatory Compliance CIIOM, relevant senior management of CIIOM, and other colleagues on all material compliance related matters.

**To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements**:

- Ability and drive to raise standards and regulatory conduct culture across the businesses with experience of markets and company/corporate conducted within either a CIIOM or Offshore environment.
- Experience of managing relationships with regulators and auditors with strong interpersonal skills, including confidence and ability to interact and negotiate with executive and senior management and at all times being solution focused and commercially aware.
- Strong oral and written communication skills. Proven analytical and reporting skills, together with the ability to support decisions with sound reasoning and to deliver/articulate verbally and in writing, potentially unwelcome messages to mitigate regulatory risk.
- Experience in a regulated position such as a Compliance Officer with an internationally recognised qualification in Compliance, e.g. ICA or STEP qualification, or willingness to work towards obtaining this.
