**Payroll Administrator - Almost Fully Remote
St Albans
Up to £35,000 (Depending on Experience)**
**AJ Chambers Recruitment are very happy to be working with one of the leading independent firms of Chartered Accountants in Hertfordshire, on their requirement for an experienced Payroll Administrator to join their St Albans office.**
**What will you be doing?**
- Administration of all stages of payroll processing for a portfolio of outsourced payrolls.
- Support seniors in managing a portfolio of clients, with a view to take over a portfolio of your own in the future.
- Liaising with clients and HM Revenue & Customs when dealing with payroll related queries.
- Assistance with billing, including preparation and submission of invoices to clients.
- General administrative duties.
**What will you need to be successful in this role?**
- A basic working knowledge of payroll processing procedures and legislation
- Ability to communicate with both clients and HMRC
- Experience within a payroll office / bureau environment / Practice
- Use of own initiative to follow processes through
- Conversant with Sage Payroll software desirable but not essential.
- Experience using Xero is desirable
- IT Literate (MS Word, Outlook and, especially, Excel)
- Good attention to detail
- Organisation/time management
- Enthusiastic and willing to learn
