**What we do.**

Our Bakkavor Bread site based in Aston, Cheshire makes specialty hand-crafted flatbreads, baguettes, doughballs and ciabattas for customers including Tesco, Asda, Morrisons and Sainsburys.

**About the role.**

You will be responsible for the people, safety, quality, cost control and delivery of plan in your designated area, and to ensure that others within the area fulfil their responsibilities. Always ensuring that duties are completed in line with Company policies and standard operating procedures, including PPE, Food Safety, Health and Safety, ‘clean as you go’ and ‘Good Manufacturing Practices’.

**Accountabilities**:

- Health & Safety - to drive forward a strong Health & Safety culture, taking responsibility for the health and safety of colleagues, contractors and visitors within the factory.
- People & Culture - to inspire a culture of ‘a great place to work’. Support the Production Manager to ensure colleagues demonstrate consistent high standards of conduct, behaviour and attendance using people management processes/policies appropriately. Conducting return to work and attendance meetings.
- To demonstrate tasks and accountabilities competently at all times, including visits and audits by external parties.
- Internal KPIs - support the Production Manager to ensure the team achieves operational performance targets.
- Factory communication - to evaluate and escalate situations for the purpose of taking appropriate action/communicating information with other colleagues within the site’s management team.

**About you.**
- Proven experience at a supervisory level or above within a similar environment.
- A passionate individual who will support, train and manage colleagues; taking responsibility for their team.
- A competent user of our ‘STACK’ procedure.
- To be self-disciplined, motivated and able to work on own initiative when necessary.
- Good communication skills.
- Able to work at pace and follow procedures.
- Flexible approach to work, willing to operate at a lower or higher grade if required performance.
