We are looking for a permanent Purchasing and Freight forwarding assistant to join our rapidly expanding company. As part of our Purchasing team, you’ll not only help us to continue providing a first-class service to our customers, but you’ll also benefit in working in a friendly atmosphere that has excellent employment ethics where career progression is a very real possibility due to continued substantial growth.

**Responsibilities**

Identify purchasing needs and send purchase orders to suppliers
Research potential suppliers
Track orders and ensure timely delivery
Update internal systems with order details
Conduct market research to identify pricing trends
Evaluate and negotiate pricing
Follow up with suppliers, as needed, to confirm or change orders
Liaise with warehouse staff to ensure all products arrive in good condition.
Assist the Logistics and Facilities manager with freight forwarding of containers from the far east.

**Requirements and Skills**

Competent with Microsoft Office including Outlook and Excel.
Good attention to details
Good verbal, numerical and written communication skills
The ability to adapt and amend work priorities in a regularly changing environment
The energy to enjoy the buzz of working in a demanding yet rewarding role
A driven and keen attitude to learn new skills as well as thriving whilst working in a supportive team.
Reliability and punctuality.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £22,152.00 per year
