The School and Job:
Teaching Personnel have a long-standing relationship with a SEN School in Salisbury, who cater for boys and girls with special needs such as Autism and Complex Learning Needs. The School has an in-house team of qualified therapists offering Speech and LanguageTherapy, Occupational Therapy and Sensory Itegration.
The school has strong links with Riding for the Disabled to swimming and hydrotherapy, their own Forest School and a number of after-school activities. They provide a range of activities to extend and enrich. They are proud of their creative emphasis andhave their own music specialist who provides group and individual therapy.
We are currently looking for someone to work in the Autism Department (ASC). You will be responsible for supporting termly topics across the class of 4-8 students and also providing 1:1 support.
To really thrive in this role, it is essential you are energetic, resilient and patient. It would be ideal for you to have experience with PECS but this is not essential.
Minimum Requirements:
- Any relevant SEN/Autism experience or qualifications is desired, however not essential if you have the right values.
- A passion and enthusiasm to see pupils achieve their best potential
- Dedication to the needs of all your pupils, working with other staff members to offer emotional and academic support
- Good interpersonal skills and confidence
- Punctual and reliable

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
