Senior Children's Residential Support Worker

If so, we have the perfect opportunity for you.
We are looking for friendly, supportive individuals to work with children aged 11 - 18 in an established residential home.
As a Senior Children's Support Worker, your duties will involve supporting children to find employment, education and training and accommodation and any personal goals they wish to work towards.
Some of the areas you will be coaching and supporting in as a Senior Children's Support Worker are:
- Attending meetings and advocating on the children's peoples behalf
- Liaising with multi-disciplinary teams about outcomes and goals of the young people
- Taking the lead on shifts
- Managing medication
- Participating with the children, including days out, shopping and more
- Organising the upcoming staff rotas
- Providing training to new staff
- Being a role model within the team for best practises
- Supporting the home manager and deputy manager on the day-to-day running of the home
**Hours of work**:
- Morning Senior Children's Support Worker: Typical shifts are 7.30am - 3pm
- Afternoon Senior Children's Support Worker with a Sleep-in: Typical shifts are 2.30pm - 10pm
- Long Day Senior Children's Support Worker with a sleep-in: Typical shifts are 7.30am - 10pm
- Waking Night Senior Children's Support Worker: Typical shifts are 21.45pm - 7.45am
You will be required to work to a rota covering different days each week.

**What is asked for in return?**
- Previous experience of working with children with autism and complex care needs
- 12 months senior youth support worker experience
- Be willing to undergo a DBS check (cost covered by employer)
- Having a valid UK driving license
- **Must have a Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or willingness to work towards one**
**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent
**Salary**: Up to £24,000.00 per year
