I have a fantastic opportunity for experienced Team Leaders to pick up a specific project opportunity based across 4 different sites across the South East of England.
Role Summary -- To lead a team of Support Workers, in partnership with key agencies, delivering and promoting the organisations Values in a safe and effective environment to support the welfare needs of service users at designated hotels.
Line Management Responsibilities -- Lead a team of support workers to proactively deliver against the welfare and domestic needs of these service users in line with agreed standard operating procedures (SOPs), identifying risk and mitigating through escalation / sharing with partners as necessary.
Main Duties and Responsibilities -- Overall responsibility for the day to day care and welfare needs of service users (Young People / YPs) at designated hotels on a 24/7 basis.
- Responsible for the welfare and health and safety of staff
- Work in partnership with key agencies to ensure a safe and nurturing environment for the service users during their stay at the hotels. These key agencies include - Social Services, Hotel Management and Staff, NHS / Nursing Staff, Test & Trace, Hotel SecurityTeams, Police, Local Authorities and other relevant service providers.
- To safeguard and promote the welfare of children
- Ensure accommodation and the service of keyworkers are planned, provided and applied in
- accordance with UASC hotel procedures
- To help care support workers support children's emotional and behavioural needs
- To ensure all service users are present at the start and end of each day and maintain an effective signing in and out system. Inform the relevant authorities if service users are found to be missing.
- To put in place effective administrative processes to ensure the safe and efficient running of each hotel. This includes maintaining key information on each service user including medical and dietary needs, fire drills, daily logs capturing key events andavailable bedspace.
- Attend a Daily Management Meeting with organisational Leads to provide a current update on each Hotel.
- Maintain a petty cash facility to be used for service user needs.
- To support structured learning and physical activities suitable for service user development.
- To deliver the organisations Covid Management Plan for each hotel, including twice weekly testing of each service user.
- To ensure service users understand and complete/adhere to isolation periods.
- To use approved interpreters or interpreting services to communicate with non-English speaking service users.
- Maintain and store documentation and other records of activities in accordance with approved organisations policy and procedures on the organisations SharePoint site.
This role will require an enhanced DBS check alongside substantial referencing checks.
