Consult Construct are a well established firm of construction professionals, including Building Surveyors, Architects & Project Managers. Founded in 2012, we provide a range of professional construction consultancy services, across Kent and London mainly.
Based in modern offices in a country park, just outside Faversham, we have grown to a team of 30 and have plans for further growth.
We are now looking for an enthusiastic, friendly, full time Office Assistant, with previous experience of working in an office, to join our team. This will be a busy role working as a member of the Admin Team, providing support to the whole team in a widerange of general office and admin duties, to assist with the smooth running the office.
You will be a friendly, enthusiastic and hard-working person, willing to get involved and work within a fast-paced environment, whilst maintaining excellent standards and attention to detail.
This is a great company to work for, with good leadership and a Senior Management team who support staff development. There is a really good team spirit and regular social activities organised for staff, including beach days, country hikes and team buildingdays out.
This position is based at our Faversham office **full time** - Hours are 8.00am to 4.00pm - Monday to Friday. With some flexibility in hours required at time, according to business needs.
The office is in a rural location so you will need transport and be confident to open up the office on your own in the morning.
**Person Specification**
A bright, efficient, friendly team player with a 'can do’ attitude.
Ideally you will have previous office experience in an admin role and be someone who can work as a part of a team, turning their hand to whatever is needed to assist with the smooth day to day running of the office.
Must be able to multi task, undertaking various duties and be flexible when necessary.
Possess excellent IT skills and be competent using Office 365 programmes.
Accurate typing skills and be competent with Word and Excel.
Ideally educated to GCSE standard, with excellent English language and grammar skills.
Advantageous to have some experience of financial data inputting, such as sales and purchase invoices, using a programme such as Xero or Sage.
Polite, clear and confident telephone manner.
Have excellent communication skills, verbal and written.
Above all be a team player who is happy to muck in and do any tasks which are needed.
**Duties include**
- Open up the office in the morning, ensuring it is ready for the staff.
- Answer the telephone, take messages, deal with enquiries.
- Deal with any incoming/outgoing mail, paper, and electronic using Outlook.
- Typing of various documents, reports, letters, construction documentation etc, using Word and Excel.
- Keep the office clean, tidy and presentable at all times.
- Greet visitors to the office and prepare refreshments for them and the staff.
- Open new project files (electronically)
- Update electronic in-house systems, including Trello.
- Arrange appointments, meetings, and inspections.
- Assist with preparation of standard documentation, such a tender packages.
- Photocopying, scanning, binding.
- Assisting with the inputting of basic accounting data into Xero, raising client invoices etc. Training provided.
- Ensure all office supplies are adequately stocked and re-order, as necessary.
- Provide ad-hoc general support, to all teams, as necessary to ensure smooth running of the business.
