My client who are a leading defence business are currently recruiting for a 3X Commercial Officers based in the Hertfordshire/Bedfordshire area with hybrid working arrangements to join on a permanent basis.

Joining an international Defence business, this role will join an established Commercial division to deliver defence capability to the MOD and other international governments covering all aspects of the product lifecycle from concept to disposal.

Legal or similar related degree graduates will also be considered for these positions.

Role - Commercial Contracts Officer X3

Location - Hertfordshire/Bedfordshire

Type - Permanent position

Salary - £25,000 - £45,000 (DOE)

Key responsibilities of the Commercial Contracts Officer role and not be limited to:

- Building and maintaining relationships with new and existing customers, focusing on collaboration
- Being the point of contact for your project(s) for any contractual information and agreements including obtaining and providing legal advice
- Contract Delivery - Being a vital part of the delivery chain that ensures the business meets its promises to our customers
- Negotiations - Gaining acceptance and agreement on issues and amendments to ensure contractual compliance
- Business Winning - Being a key player in the winning of new work. Responsible for the full Route to Contract, including being the driving force during the Bidding process, ensuring cross functional working to deliver costs in time, generation of proposals,and contract negotiations
- Business Strategy - maximising identified business opportunities
- Responsible for providing effective people management and development
- Reporting to senior management on the progress of your contracts
- Representing the commercial team in progress/reviews and/or customer meetings
- Analysing and problem-solving complex issues every day, with the help of a multi-functional team where required
- Working under pressure to achieve deadlines.
- Day-to-day administration and maintenance of the company systems
- Promotes best practice and functional excellence

Key skills and experience required for Commercial Contracts Officer role and not limited to:

- Proven experience as a Commercial / Contracts Officer OR Legal degree graduate
- Eligible to gain UK SC clearance
- Strong stakeholder building skills with cross functional colleagues
- Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken
- IT Literate
