**School**:
Maximize Education is a daytime and evening tuition centre on Newgate Street in Morpeth, with a passion for nurturing knowledge and maximising success. We provide 1:1 teaching during the school day (between 9 and 4) for students in KS3-KS5 who are out of mainstream education for a variety of reasons. We are currently working on the exciting prospect of becoming a registered Alternative Provision and work closely with Northumberland County Council to reintegrate disengaged pupils throughout the area.

We are a close-knit team and our current project means we are looking to recruit tutors, teachers and teaching assistants to join the expansion of our centre. Supported by an on-site Designated Safeguarding Lead, our staff follow the English National Curriculum and prepare students for GCSE examinations, as well as Functional Skills and other independent qualifications, to help them achieve their potential. We have historically provided excellent and rewarding work experience and employment opportunities to university graduates and students, particularly with an interest in teaching/education/EYFS/educational psychology as a career.

**Person**:
**Responsibilities**:
Your responsibilities will include:

- Tutoring 1:1 with KS3, KS4 and KS5 students who are not accessing education in a mainstream setting
- Seeking advice on pupil SEND and adapting your session/teaching style to suit
- Reporting pupil progress and attainment to manager and recording in pupil file
- Reporting safeguarding concerns to DSL in accordance with Safeguarding policy
- Supervising/facilitating pupil breaks (if in community, supported by DSL)
- Taking part in optional evening tutoring and holiday sessions for Looked After Children (optional)

**Salary**: £10,000.00-£19,999.00 per year
