We’ve started the search for **Resource Planner **to join our IT Transformation and Governance team that sits within CIO. Our team is pivotal to CIO working across the IT Functions providing centralised services such as Resource Management, Governance and Reporting as well as co-ordinating the delivery of strategically important initiatives such as IT Simplification, Divestments and Technical Debt. The team currently consists of 40 people with 12 aligned to the central Resource Management function. We manage the large-scale demand for change resources such as Project Managers, Business Analysts and Solution Architects across multiple change portfolios, and then recruit and supply skilled people as required. We also support the wider IT areas with their resource management activity such as capacity planning, resource data analysis and governance processes. The resource planners also perform a range of operational management activities to ensure projects have the right resource with the right skills at the right time and the correct projects and programmes are charged accurately for their services. Aviva use the “smart-working" hybrid model and encourage flexible working. The successful role holder will be required to be a commutable distance from our **Norwich **office. **Duties & Responsibilities** The Resource Planner will be aligned to a number of UK portfolios, with the following responsibilities: - Management of relationships and stakeholders within aligned portfolios to ensure thorough understanding of their resourcing needs and provide them with suitable resourcing options - Generate and source options for Change Resource supply working with Practice or Technical Leads - Construction of business cases to support recruitment or contract renewal of Change resource - Pro-actively work with the portfolios to understand medium - and longer-term resourcing needs and challenges, planning options and minimising risk to ensure a full Change service to projects as required. - Act as point of contact for all portfolio resourcing questions or issues - Support of other resource planners as required - Ensure accurate financial charging of Change resources to Business units. **Experience and skills required**: Experience of resourcing, contract management, operations management or project/programme management type roles is desirable but not essential. But you will need a proven track record of strong stakeholder management and first-class communication and organisational skills. **We’re particularly interested in**: - Practical experience of working in a busy support team requiring large amounts of customer / stakeholder interaction - Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate and negotiate effectively at multiple levels - Proven ability to meet deadlines and work proactively in a changing environment - Strong planning and organisational skills - Strong written communication skills including the ability to construct options and impact statements - Use of resource/project/programme management support tools; the ability to manipulate and analyse data and strong Excel skills - Exposure to IT projects and/or software development life cycles. **What will you get for this role?**: - Salary starting with £30000 depending on skills, experience and qualifications - Generous defined contribution pension scheme - Annual performance related bonus and pay review - Holiday allowance of 29 days plus bank holidays and the option to buy/sell up to 5 additional days - Up to 40% discount for some Aviva products through “My Aviva Extras” plus discounts for Friends and Family.
