We are excited to announce the creation of a brand new team focused on non-insurance innovation. The team owns the whole process of innovation, from the generation of new ideas to their development and deployment. The team will be driving by one question “How do we simplify peoples lives?”. In order to answer this question we will have complete freedom to explore new markets, technologies and trends to determine where products can help to answer this question.

As a key member of the team you will help to drive new ideas through the ideation process to build new products. Help to shape the future of services which we put out. As well as to help establish the team in its early days.

We work like a start-up where you will get a chance to get you hands on all aspects of what the teams does.

In normal times we work in a hybrid working pattern with the opportunity to work from home up to three days per week. We adopt a flexible working environment with a strong focus on continuous learning and development.

**About you**:

- Educated to degree level or equivalent
- Knowledge of market research methodologies (both qualitative and quantitative) and the Market Research Society’s Code of Conduct.
- Ability to gather, analyse and interpret information and data from a wide range of sources quickly and accurately.
- Strong data analysis skills with ability to communicate insight through the use of graphs, tables and reports that are accessible and understandable by the wider business.
- A natural problem solver with the ability to solve problems
- Have excellent attention to detail
- An ability to balance multiple tasks simultaneously
- Strong organisational skills
- Ability and willingness to work effectively under pressure
- Excellent oral and written communication skills with strong attention to detail
- Good interpersonal & relationship building skills
- Customer focused
- Confidence and ability to deal with colleagues at various levels across the business
- A self-starter who can grasp opportunities and run with them

**Details**:
Day to day you’ll work with a high degree of autonomy and accountability and your key responsibilities will be to:

- Define, own, develop and lead the product strategy, roadmap and vision supporting overall strategic direction of the new ideas
- Work closely with the Market Inisghts and innovation lead to understand market trends and emerging competitors, perfom market assessment to identify gaps and opportunities that will translate into the product growth strategies
- Has great understanding of commercial benefits and ensure all initiatives have defined business cases and that outputs are aligned to deliver the changes required
- Work collaboratively with stakeholders and external suppliers to ensure buy-in, alignment and successful delivery.
- Pro-actively manage issues, risks and dependencies taking action as appropriate to achieve urgent resolution, escalating clearly and promptly as required
- Be responsible for decision making on business priorites based on cost and effort to deliver the business objectives
- Bring structure and fast decision making to the new business areas, working well with ambiguity and the unknown, maintaining a critical view on processes to define new ways of working and refine existing ones
- Define and track success metrics and KPI framework to provide actionable commercial insight that supports tactics and product strategy
- Over time, build, grow and keep the team motivated on rapid and continuous delivery, but with a clear sight and focus on the long-term vision
- Future thinking, being able to analyse trends to look for new ideas and areas to grow
- Generate new Ideas keep a strong focus on the future
