Part Time Letting Agent

**Job Summary**

We are seeking a dedicated and organised Part-Time Letting Agent to join our growing team. The role involves supporting landlords and tenants through the lettings process, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations, and maintaining high standards of compliance and professionalism. This role would suit an individual with strong administrative, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills who can balance flexibility with a proactive approach.

**Responsibilities**

Property Management & Lettings:

- Market properties across relevant platforms to attract suitable tenants.
- Manage property viewings, Check-ins and Check-outs, ensuring clear and professional communication with prospective tenants.
- Support the tenant referencing process, AML checks and prepare tenancy agreements.
- Monitor and manage void periods to minimise vacancies.
- Act as the main point of contact for tenants and landlords, responding to enquiries efficiently.
- Conduct property inspections and report findings.
- Liaise with contractors to coordinate necessary repairs and maintenance work.
- Provide guidance to landlords regarding legal compliance and housing standards.
- Maintain accurate records for all properties, tenancies, and maintenance work.
- Keep updated with relevant legislation, ensuring properties comply with FFHH (Fitness for Human Habitation), safety, and deposit protection regulations.
- Issue rental statements, manage rental arrears, and ensure payment plans are adhered to. Manage landlord rent payments.

Assist with general administration support to the charity as a whole

**Skills & Experience Required**:

- Previous experience in Estate agency, lettings or property management, is desirable however not absolutely necessary as we are looking for the right person to join the team.
- Excellent organisational and administrative skills with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with landlords, tenants, and contractors.
- Good understanding of housing regulations and rental compliance (or willingness to learn).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and property management software.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- A valid driving licence and access to a car for property visits (essential).
